Tiger Training here at
Single Vision, Inc. is not the typical method of training
animals. We are forging extraordinary relationships with
wild animals. This is a life-long commitment to sharing
life or co-habitating.![]() |
| All training is accomplished through Positive Reinforcement and Conditioning. PATIENCE and LOVE are the most important aspects. We are dedicated to understanding the physical and psychological needs of our Tigers. We provide the best nutritional and medical care possible. We hand-feed our Tigers, three times daily, a healthy diet of vitamin enhanced horsemeat, beef, and chicken. We have active operate conditioning and enrichment programs, and provide them with space, exercise, friendship, and things to do. Big cats cannot be confined in a small area their whole lives; they need to have room, A LOT! |

They also have tremendous energy that they need to expend ( if they don’t they become frustrated ). We fulfill that need through play, swimming in their pool, and daily walks through our 10- acre compound. We do things a little different here, but we know, and we teach others: Big Cats Cannot Be Tamed! They are wild by nature and their behavior is guided by a collection of instincts which are inbred into the creature. Their behavior can be modified by education. Many of their natural instincts are involved in preservation of a territory, and these can be overcome by the type of need-fulfillment / relationship training we do. Learning how to work with Big Cats starts with learning how to “read” animal behavior. |
| You essentially have to become one with the animal to understand how they think, react, and feel. Communicating with Tigers doesn’t come from a mysterious pact between human and beast, but depends on a finely honed ability to watch and listen. Captive wild or exotic animals are highly evolved creatures. They have all the evolutionary advantages due to the “survival of the fittest” heritage and lack of domestication by man. No matter how tame a wild animal may appear, the fact is that they are still wild animals and react that way. Reading behavior means anticipating what the animal will do BEFORE they do it. You must continually read them to understand what is going on in their heads. Careful Observation and Deduction allow you to anticipate and control the animal’s actions. Trust, Respect, and Understanding are the keys to our training here. |

Training or owning wild animals is not something I recommend. Too many animals are not cared for properly by people who think it would be fun to own one. In my type of work, it has broken my heart to see animals abandoned, having severe illnesses or mistreatment because of improper diet, or lack of understanding or concern for them and the beautiful wild creatures they are. |
